<\/p>\nHermes-Epitek and National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) today (24th) signed an agreement to establish the Hermes-Epitek\u2013NTHU Joint Research Center. The collaboration aims to deepen industry\u2013academia cooperation and accelerate innovation in advanced semiconductor and quantum technologies.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Hermes-Epitek has long invested in fundamental research\u2014from electrons and ions to neutrons\u2014and has expanded its expertise from silicon to compound semiconductors, supporting the development of advanced processes and next-generation technologies. Partnering with NTHU enables the integration of industrial strength and academic excellence to jointly accelerate research, innovation, and talent development.<\/p>\n
The new research center will form an interdisciplinary team focused on semiconductor, metal, and superconductor heteroepitaxial structures for next-generation photonic, electronic, and quantum applications. Both parties will deepen research collaboration, academic exchange, and technology transfer, further strengthening Taiwan\u2019s global competitiveness in semiconductors and quantum technology.<\/p>\n
